We were challenged to excite the city. To create a buzz. To develop a vibrant campaign that would make people sit up and take notice. We did all of that and a lot more.
After a successful pitch, we developed a campaign to capture the spirit of positivity and excitement surrounding a new era of the club under the ownership of local businessman Mel Morris.
An integrated campaign incorporating digital, print, outdoor, radio, ambient and guerrilla advertising was launched for an intensive month-long stint around Christmas 2015.
The results took everyone by surprise. Viral images, internet memes, national news coverage, online petitions… the campaign took on a life of its own as the region responded to one simple message: We Are Derby.
