Union of Students
The University of Derby’s Students Union needed a coherent, vibrant and flexible brand that would engage and inspire students, whilst aligning with the Union’s long-term strategic vision. After meeting with agencies from around the UK, we’re delighted that they selected Fluid as creative partners.
The SU is a well-worn acronym, limited by its association with student bars and nightlife. But we agreed the brand should represent a union of students – a like-minded community of people that supports, inspires and advises. So we said goodbye to the SU… because the future’s all about US.
We designed and tested an endlessly flexible brand system that would build awareness of the Union’s role, whilst fostering a sense of togetherness and creating a personality that would work seamlessly in any media. This is a brand that can – and has – become owned by the students of Derby.
